EngGroup, PSC is a consulting and technology services company established in 2013. We have been maintaining and operating PREPA’s Energy Management System (EMS) since March 2019. Most of our consultants have over 30 years of experience in the electric industry. We provide resources and consulting in the fields of Energy Management Systems, SCADA, Utility Operations, Operations Technology (OT), Energy Market and Emergency Management and related topics. Our name is a short way of describing our main human resources conformation, an engineers’ group at your service: EngGroup. EngGroup first consultants were retired engineers from the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority Operations Division with the desire to continue contributing to the electric industry sector, operation and maintenance of the Energy Management System and related operational areas. Legacy of knowledge was and continue to be one of our main drivers.

Antonio Torres, PE President and owner of EngGroup, PSC

Mr. Torres holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (1985) from University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus with concentration in computer systems and electrical power systems. He is member of the Puerto Rico College of Engineer as a Professional Engineer since 1986, the PR Electrical Engineers Institute and the PR Computer Engineer Institute.

Mr. Torres has over 30 years of experience in technical and management positions related to Energy Management Systems (SCADA), operational and information technologies, electric power transmission and distribution and utility scale renewable energy generation in the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority.

Mr. Torres is also recognized expert in Energy Management Systems and PR’s electric power infrastructure.
